

Celso Mireles Martinez, 30, of Phoenix, died August 1, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born March 21, 1987 to Celso and Luz Mireles. He attended Maryvale High School and graduated from Arizona State University in 2009. Celso dedicated his life to his many passions, including playing the guitar and creating music, learning software development, building technology to advance justice for migrants, sharing quality time with his wife, family and friends, writing blogs, poems, and songs, maintaining physical and emotional health, growing spiritually, enjoying long rides on his motorcycle, traveling, hiking and spending time in nature. Celso is survived by his wife, Ileana Salinas; his parents, Celso and Luz Mireles; his siblings, Mayra, Emmanuel, and Guadalupe; and his four nephews and one niece. Visitation hours will be Monday, August 7th from 5-9 PM at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix, 4027 E Lincoln Dr, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 8th at 10 AM at the Cathedral of Ss. Simon and Jude, 6351 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85017 with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Avondale, AZ.
