Charlene married Lloyd Curl on December 31, 1947. They shared almost 64 years of marriage until Lloyd’s passing on September 30, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ausdahl and Brenda (Mike) Bradley; seven grandchildren, Tracy Lunnon (John Cassidy), Heather Curl (Ric Welch), Chrystal Overhamm (Chris), Valerie Dupont (Adam), Mark Ausdahl (Dallas), Michael Ausdahl, and Kimberly Walker (John); and three step-grandchildren Michael, Lindsey, and Daniel Bradley. Charlene is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, a son Mitchell and a baby boy Brian, who was stillborn, preceded Charlene in death.
After being a full-time homemaker, Charlene entered the workforce in the late 1960s, eventually becoming the first female office manager for Arizona Public Service. She retired after 20 years at APS.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Hope Church, 26525 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix.
