Our Mom Charlotte was a remarkable person. Her sense of humor and quick wit, which usually had a touch of sarcasm, could always make you smile. She wasn’t afraid of being a goof and laughing at herself or putting on a show to get a laugh. You always knew she genuinely cared and her love for her family was always shown. As kids, we were given an amazing childhood, spending countless weekends at the lake and traveling around the country. Mom was a pretty fantastic athlete, snow skiing the most difficult runs and an expert slalom skier on the water. She loved and owned horses and rode often when she was younger. Owning a hair salon and working in the industry for decades, showed in her outgoing personality. She had an incredible joy for her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her laugh will be missed by them as they grow. We wish you could’ve seen them grow up. You will live forever in our hearts and the beautiful memories we have with you. Love you, Mom.
She is survived by two children Gabriel (Ruth) Bardwell & Carrie Mackey, four grandchildren Garrett (Sara) Mackey, Stefan Bardwell, Tabitha (Logan) Brown & Giselle Bardwell, three great-grandchildren Landon, Lydia & Levi Mackey, three brothers Rick (Bonnie) King, Donny (Karri) King & Mark (Rhonda) King and a half-sister Carolyn “Cookie” Reynolds.
In addition to her parents, a son Garrett Bardwell preceded Charlotte in death.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 1 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
