Dan was born in Healdton, Oklahoma, on November 26, 1929, to Jesse Delbert and Clara Walk Reinhardt. He served twenty years in the Air Force and specialized in Explosive Ordnance Disposal. He followed that career with time as a USPS letter carrier and acting as a union representative.
Dan and his wife, Betty Lou raised three children, all living in the Phoenix area, and after retirement spent at least twenty years doing the things he loved best, including traveling throughout the country in an RV with Betty.
Dan led a life dedicated to service--to his beloved family; to God, to his church family, and to Tonto Rim Baptist Camp; to his country; to his community; and in fact, to anyone who needed him.
He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Lou Sanders, his three children and their spouses, Christene (Richard) Howley, Betty Jean (John) Sheldon, and Danny Lee (Kathy) Reinhardt, five grandchildren—Michelle Schultz, Emily Sheldon, Daniel Reinhardt, Elizabeth Williams, and Karen Knappenberger—and six great grandchildren. Three siblings, Jesse, Robert, and Mary Reinhardt also survive him.
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
