Dean F. Travis, 94, passed away on November 7, 2012. He was born in Clio, Iowa on July 14, 1918, son of the late Dale and Cecil Travis. Dean lived in Clinton, Iowa for 57 years and spent winters in Glendale, AZ for 25 years. He was a full-time Arizona resident for the past 4 years. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. He taught speech at Clinton High School and at Clinton Community College, serving as President of the college for 11 years. He is survived by daughter, Karen (Joe) Wilson, sons Larry and Jon (Qian) and granddaughter Jessica, as well as extended family and friends. A visitation for Dean will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 10:00am, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 11:00am, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary. Graveside services will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
