

Dennis Gale Thurman, known for his know-it-all charm and stubborn nature, passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 5, 1939, Dennis was a resident of Mesa, Arizona. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, with a lighthearted and humorous spirit that touched everyone he met.
Dennis continued his education at Arizona State University, focusing on agriculture, a field that he was passionate about. His love for the land was matched only by his love for family and adventure.
He is survived by his daughters Denise Larson (Mark) and Michelle Sluiter, his grandchildren Ryan Thurman(Jennie Pesina) and Alaina Sluiter, and his great-granddaughter Ryla Thurman. Dennis also leaves behind his stepdaughters Cindy Self (Greg) and Kathy Peterson, his stepson Mark Shinn (Dawn), and step-grandchildren Samantha Shinn, Randy Shinn, Hali Stevens, Imani Stevens, Kila Stevens, Nicholas Sinagoga, Alicia Sinagoga,Remington Peterson, Shanda Larson, Shad Larson, and Benjamin Larson, along with multiple great-grandchildren.
Dennis had a zest for life that was evident in his many hobbies. He enjoyed playing poker, fishing, hunting, and all forms of motorsports. His love for the water was undeniable, as he spent countless hours boating and water skiing. Known for his ability to boss people around, Dennis did so with a twinkle in his eye and a grin on his face.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of humor and stubbornness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
