I was surprised to find out about Dixie, I worked with her and she was an awesome, sweet person. She was also my mother in law Mary Sue's dear friend, so she was a friend to our family as well. 
I am so saddened to hear of your loss and she really loved her family and grandkids, she always shared stories with me and you all brought her so much joy and always a smile when she talked of you all.

I'm so surprised to be finding about this 9 months later. I was in South Carolina from March through Nov 15. I am so glad I got to meet Dixie and have lunch with her a couple times - my dad and her were first cousins and he mentioned her often. She was so helpful in helping me with family info and gave me a copy of a wonderful photo of my great-grandparents. Without her I'd never have gotten it. Dixie will always be in our hearts & in our thoughts.Just now are we able to put some words in writing.Her upbeat personality was such a blessing for all of us who love her.She was the BEST big sister in the world!!! The vacations we shared in Cadiz were so memorable.So much laughter so much eating so much shopping but most of all so much late night heart to heart talks.Then came the trips here to Hartville we had so much fun together.The weeks went by far too fast! These memories will be with us forever,I was lucky enough to face time with her when we got our new phones. those images too will be with me forever! Dixie you are so loved and appreciated, Sam Kelly & Chris our love & sympathy are with you always.

My deepest sympathy goes to Chris and his family.  I never had the pleasure of meeting Dixie in person, but I did get to meet her online.  She was a very sweet person, sharing recipes with me and sending me coconut and blue berries to make muffins with.  I know how much Chris loved his mom and I appreciate the love she showed for her family.  You could see it in the wonderful son she raised.  My thouhts and prayers are with all of you.

Our deepest sympathy to Sam and family. We lived in the W. Corrine neighborhood in the 60's across the street from them and have great memories. I know that Dixie will be missed.

I also had the pleasure of working with Dixie. She always had a smile on her face and that smile would light up a room.  I am so sorry for your loss.   May you find peace in knowing her memories will be with you forever.
