Donna Louise Alexander

Donna Louise Alexander, 76, of Glendale, AZ, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Anna Solarski on March 25, 1945. Donna fought a tough battle against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy for the last handful of years.

This fighting spirit was apparent in Donna’s life throughout many health challenges, including a stroke and cancer. She never lost her sense of humor or enjoyment of the things she loved most in life. These things included dancing, singing off-key, fifties music, I Love Lucy, reading, thunderstorms, ice hockey, and all animals.

However, her family was the most important thing. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Alexander, her daughter, Jennifer Whitmore, her son-in-law, Jacob Whitmore, and the lights of her life, grandchildren, Avyn, 5, and Holden, 2. Donna is preceded in death by her older brother, Edward Solarski.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 6 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the home of Cindy Alexander 14414 N. 91st Dr. Peoria, AZ 85381
