He was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 10, 1932 to the late Ilario and Germana Rossi, who emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s.
Ed attended La Salle Academy in Manhattan, and upon graduation in 1950, joined the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
After serving his country for four years, Ed embarked on a varied career as an electronic technician, teacher, restaurant owner, and major appliance salesman. His passions were family, friends, and animals of all types. He enjoyed playing bocce, shooting pool, reading, watching classic movies, discussing politics, and most of all spending time with family and friends, especially during traditional Italian Sunday dinners.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife Angela in 2001. He is survived by four children, Bill (Christine), Tina, Robert (Bill Dispoto), and Al; three grandchildren, Jason, Michael and Matthew; and his beloved kitties Elvis and Tito.
