Edward Lugo Santana

Edward was born on June 20, 1938 to his parents Elidoro and Lucy in Glendale, Arizona.

On December 26, 1959, Edward married the love of his life Stella Mesa. They were married for 63 years and have three children Eddie Santana, Jr., Carlos Santana and Michelle Romero.

Edward served with the Army National Guard of Arizona for over 10 years as a specialist for the 3rd Battalion, 158th Infantry.

Edward worked for PMT as a truck driver for 10 years and finished his career as a Realtor Broker with Century 21 for more than 20+ years.

Edward enjoyed the outdoor life, he loved hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed his second home in Sedona, Arizona. He loved playing horseshoes and watching old western movies.

Edward was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Duarte, father Elidero Santana, sisters Alice & Lydia and brothers Alfred, Julio & Fred Duarte.

He is survived by his wife Stella, three children Eddie Santana, Carlos (Margaret) Santana & Michelle (Tony) Romero, sisters Yolanda Garcia & Sylvia Arce, brothers David Santana & Ray Duarte, 11 beautiful grandchildren Eddie, Fabian, Gabriel, Cynthia, Monica, Rosanna, Carlos, Sam, Anthony, Celia & Raymond along with 15 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 4-8PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Thomas More, 6180 W. Utopia Road, Glendale. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.

A reception in honor of Edward’s life will be at The Knights of Columbus, where Edward was a member, 8066 N. 49th Avenue, Glendale, AZ.
