

Efrain dedicated his life to serving the Lord through ministry, beginning at an early age, and continuing throughout his life with his family by his side. He served the Lord as a Missionary, Pastor and Counselor marked by sacrifices and a strong commitment to helping church families despite financial hardships.
Early ministry and education: Efrain felt the call to serve at age 15 and attended Valley Baptist Academy, living on campus and participating in mission work in Texas, where he later married Evangelina Almazan, the love of his life, becoming faithful partners in ministry raising two children, Ephraim Albert Flores and Jonathan Arnold Flores, who became successful young men in life. Efrain served as a bilingual pastor at multiple churches throughout his ministry domestically and foreign.
Balancing ministry and work: While serving as a bilingual Baptist pastor, he also worked part-time as an assistant pharmacist, studied ministry, and substituted as a teacher, demonstrating dedication to both education and church service.
Family sacrifices and community support: Despite financial struggles, Efrain and his family helped others in need, managed household challenges creatively, and received blessings, reflecting their faith and generosity.
Continued service across states: The family served in various mission points throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, School of Mission in Chicago, establishing various ministries throughout his service with Efrain furthering his education receiving a degree in History and Bible from Grand Canyon College retiring after decades of service.
Efrain in his retirement continued to serve the Lord until his passing. This includes during his last days in the hospital and post-acute medical rehabilitation facility reaching out to staff and others with God’s Word. He always had a heart of serving the Lord and bringing others to Christ. This is his legacy. Matthew 25:23 – Well Done Good and Faithful Servant. Faithful stewardship will be honored in eternity.
Efrain is survived by his wife, Evangelina A. Flores, daughter-in-law Catherine Flores, granddaughters Amanda (Justin) Galvez, Breanna Flores, great-grandchildren Gavin and Grace Galvez, siblings Eluid (Angie) Flores, Martha Flores and Emma Flores and many nephews, nieces, extended family members and lifelong friends.
Efrain is preceded in death by his father Eleazar (Virginia) Flores, mother Felipa Figueroa Flores, brothers Eleazar (Manuela) Flores Jr., Eloy Flores, sister Zoraida F. Truan, sons Efraim Albert Flores, Jonathan Arnold Flores and other family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 28, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, located at 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
A Committal Service will follow on the same day at 10:30 am at Resthaven Park Cemetery, located at 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
