Elida loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a great cook and spent her time baking delicious foods for those she loved. When she was feeling lucky, you could find her at the casino. If the Cardinals were playing, she was eagerly watching; football was a fun pastime for her. Elida also appreciated traveling and exploring the world around her.
She is survived by her mother Eustolia, loving husband of 49 years Herman Corella, children Sophia Corella and Crystal Corella, grandchildren Snookie, Alexis, Nicolas, and Dominic, and her siblings Wes, Christopher (Patricia), Rosemarie (Gilbert), Sylvia, Elsie, Gracie (Daryl), and Julie.
In addition to her father, Elida is preceded in death by her beloved brother David “Pie” Chavez.
A visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 9:00 am, with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. A graveside committal service will come after at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
