Our Tia Frances passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 86. She died the way she lived, fighting. Alzheimer’s had claimed much of her memory in the past few years, but she was still the dynamic force she always was in life. She never married as “She wasn’t going to put up with being told what to do in life. “
Her passions in life were reading, tennis, the movies, and music, particularly Elvis and Diana Ross and the Supremes. She was also a Big Sister in the Big Brother/ Big Sister program for many years.
Frances worked for Consolidated Foods early in life before working over 40 years at and retiring from, Good Samaritan Hospital.
Frances graduated from Phx. Union High School in 1958.
Tia Frances is survived by her nephew, three nieces, nine grand nieces and nephews, and one great-grand-nephew.
A funeral service in memory of Frances will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 5614 W. Orangewood Avenue Glendale, AZ 85301
