Colyer was born in Stuttgart Arkansas on August 27, 1937. He moved to Arizona with his family when he child, and has resided in the Glendale area. Colyer was married to Jacqueline Colyer (Watkins), she preceded him in death in 1983.
Colyer was a hard-working man, well liked and respected by his fellow co-workers. He enjoyed coaching his children, and loved being involved with his grandchildren as well. He was a very avid sports fan, and spending time with his family was a very important part of his life.
Colyer is survived by his two children, Bryan Colyer and his wife Julie, Ronna Richter and her husband Brent; his four grandchildren Josh, Ryley, Cassidy and Bryce; great grandson Zane and his sisters Dorothy McClendon and Hazel Schrefel; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie and sisters, Evelyn, Bonnie and Linda.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on March 6, 2015, viewing from 8 am -10 am at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ. burial will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
