

George Thomas Fryar was born July 14, 1934, in Hammond, Indiana and lived 81 wonderful years before passing away on October 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Lenore (Lee), with whom he was united in marriage for 41 years. With this union of marriage were 7 daughters, Belinda Mraz, husband Mike, Annette Bishop, husband Fred, Rochelle Baldwin, husband Chris, Becky Sours, husband Willie, Debbie La Rosa, and Cheryl Kent, husband Nick. George had the joy of having 19 Grandchildren, Tara, Amber, Kevin, Stephanie, Chrissy, Anthony, Ryan, Nick, Ashley, Kaleina, Charles, Amanda, Justin, Melissa, Jacob, Hasaun, Brandon; 14 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jaden, Bella, Zane, Dominic, Ayden, Lyla, Josephine, Talia, Noah, Serenity, Kaitlynn. George had 1 older brother and 5 older sisters, survived by Norma Haesloop, sister; In-Laws included Leonard and Marge Dessauer, Steve Dessauer, and Ellie and Todd Cypert; nieces and nephews.
George retired as a machinist of 25 years from Allied Signal (Honeywell Aerospace), and prior employment at Ford Motor Company as a Stamp and Cast Technician. He proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Military as a Marine and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, council #3855. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, taking walks, day trips to the local casino, and an occasional shot and beer.
George was a kind and loving man, a great provider and role model, a pillar of strength and lived a full life of love and happiness. He has touched the lives of everyone who knew him. George will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
