
Born on December 6, 1932, in Providence, Rhode Island, George was the beloved son of Agnes Veronica Carlos Kenyon and Francis Sault Kenyon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis E. Kenyon, his twin brother William J. Kenyon, and his parents.
George lived a life rooted in service, faith, and kindness. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged before beginning a long and dedicated career with the Santa Fe Railroad. Even in retirement, George continued to give back—volunteering for decades with the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, and at American Family Fields of Phoenix, where he greeted spring training fans with his signature warmth.
His deep compassion for others and quiet generosity touched countless lives. Whether through his church, his community, or simple everyday acts of kindness, George lived by example—a legacy of service, humility, and heart.
A memorial service will be held at Fray Garces Columbian Hall, 8066 N 49th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302 on July 31, 2025 12-3pm.
Interment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on, where he will be laid to rest with honors at 10am sharp located at 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd Phoenix, AZ 85024.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in George’s memory to the Arizona Humane Society or St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 3140 N 51st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85031.
