

George “G.A.” Wilder, 93, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, in Phoenix, Arizona, and resided in Glendale, Arizona the last 10 years. He was born on March 25, 1921, to the late Agustus and Ida Mariah Wilder in Sumter, S.C. He is preceded in death by his son Schapiro Wilder, daughter Bridgette Gail Wilder, granddaughter Ramonia Youngblood, great grandson Cayden M. Ali, and his 6 siblings Oliver, Sarah, Johnnie Lee, Issac, Bernice and Addie.
Before moving to Glendale, G.A. lived in Farmington, NM for over 50 years and retired as a Brick Mason. George was well known throughout the Four Corners for his brick and rock work. After retirement he enjoyed traveling in search of unique items and antiques. He was always at the flea market, and loved to travel, fishing, camping and his birds.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years Betty Jo Wilder; sons, Joseph McCoggle and wife Lois; Gary Wilder; Glenn Wilder and wife Tamara; Eric Wilder and wife Leoma; Kelvin Patrick Wilder and wife Carla; daughters, Arsimmer McCoy and husband Kenneth, Lisa Wilder and Deborah Wilder Gauthier and husband Terrence; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, 3 aunts and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 with a visitation one hour prior at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
