Gerri Crull was born in Du Quoin, Illinois on April 13, 1928. She was one of five girls in a lively family. In high school she met the love of her life, Dale. They married and built 19 beautiful years together, until he was killed in Vietnam in 1968.
After his death, she poured her life into raising her three sons Steve, Dale and Richard. A fierce competitor, she conquered the bowling lanes, claimed trophy after trophy. After recovering from a back injury she traded the bowling ball for golf clubs, and later, when age slowed her swing, she mastered mahjong. Her friendly and kind personality left a lasting impact on those who knew her. She was described by many of her care givers as the sweetest person they have ever known.
She leaves behind her three devoted sons and their loving wives, 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren – all of whom she cherished dearly. She slipped away peacefully at Orchard Pointe Retirement Community, after a brief illness, on February 9th, 2026.
