Ginny Lynn McDaniel

Ginny Lynn Simons McDaniel was born October 21, 1947, in Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona, with twin sister Vicky Lou to Richard Gerald and Deloris Vondell Ivy Simons. She was raised and lived her whole life in the Phoenix area.

She was married to the love of her life, Larry Eugene McDaniel, in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple on February 2, 1968. A homemaker, Ginny was always involved with her children and family, and was like a second mom to many friends who would spend time at their home. She faithfully served in various church positions and was a bright light to those around her.

Ginny passed away in Glendale, Maricopa, Arizona on June 29, 2017, of complications from Leukemia. She was a wonderful daughter and sister, a loved wife and mother, and an adored grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who know and love her.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Larry, twin sister Vicky Lou Medlyn, and mother Deloris. She is survived by her father Richard (96 years) of Buckeye, Arizona; sisters Linda Black (LeRoy) of Buckeye, Arizona; Deborah Fassel (Jack) of Oregon City, Oregon; son Robert McDaniel (Cari) of Peoria, Arizona; daughter Kathy Ingram (Shane) of Peoria, Arizona; four grandsons, Cody, Zachary, Brady, and Jeremy McDaniel, and two granddaughters, Melissa Ingram Bradshaw (Byron), and Katie Ingram Holland (Zakery); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue Glendale, Arizona 85301.
