Hal did indeed live his life as a true Christian.  I appreciate his friendship in the time I knew him.  I still have a Bible he and Nancy gave me for a birthday gift, when I joined their Bible study group and had been in a bad place.  I needed that support from that group.  He lived his life as an example of Christ shining through him.  My condolences go out to Nancy and all his family.  - M. Grigsby

I’ll always remember Hal’s big smile and great hugs. Whenever I stopped by the house they would have a meal or a bed for me to stay in. And in the morning there would be coffee for me and for my dear dear friend Pat, there would be a Pepsi waiting for her.  He always sent a birthday card and would remember how old I was, and he would have a quote from the Bible that always touched my heart. He will be missed.  Love always, Karen Conde.

Nancy, so sorry for your loss, I worked at Glencroft for a very short period of time and fondly remember you and Hal fondly.

We first met Hal when he came to our church for a lay witness weekend. Even though we had just met him, he felt like an instant friend and coincidentally his daughter worked at Costco with me! ever since then every holiday ,birthday ,and anniversary he would send us a card. Even though we are happy, he is in heaven, rejoicing with our Lord, he will be missed greatly. Every Christmas I sent him my peanut brittle as a gesture of gratitude for all his love and attention throughout the year the year, this year I will dedicate peanut brittle season to him.  You will be very missed, we love you ♥️

I am so saddened to hear of Hal passing.  I remember  when I first came to Calvery Church that I received  a huge hug from Hal.  It was so warm and inviting.  Hal was always there when I needed to talk.  Hal will be very missed. 



So many fond memories of a wonderful man. Our families met at church and grew to be a feeling of family. Many get togethers to enjoy meals, play games and enjoy holidays. My sons were young when we met and fully enjoyed and loved these times. They enjoyed going to the base to get a flat top hair cut like Hal's. As grown men today, they still refer to him as "Uncle Hal". Although we haven't seen Hal and family in years, you all still hold a very special place in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you now and always.
