Janney Bee Adams

Janney Bee Adams, 88, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Janney Bee (Crites) Adams, born December 15, 1936, in Woodward County, Oklahoma, passed peacefully into eternal rest after a long and blessed life on August 28, 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of Wilbur Raymond Crites, Sr. and Audrey Charlotte Ball. She was the beloved sister of Jannette Wyatt, Sherri Crites, and Wilbur R. Crites Jr.

On March 29, 1954, Janney married Garland Leslie Adams in Fargo, Ellis County, Oklahoma. Their marriage was filled with love, resilience, and adventure, lasting until Garland's passing after their 67th anniversary in 2021. Together, they raised a family rooted in faith, service, and devotion. During Garland's distinguished career in the United States Air Force, which included permanent assignments in Texas, California, Germany, France, Arizona, and Vietnam-as well as temporary duty in Morocco, Libya, Spain, and Italy-Janney was his steadfast partner. She managed the home with grace through countless moves, offering stability and love to their children despite the challenges of military life. Wherever the Air Force sent Garland, Janney created a sense of belonging, turning each house into a true home.

Janney was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Family gatherings around her table were always filled with warmth, laughter, and her quiet but powerful presence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Leslie Adams, Michael Timothy Adams (son), her parents, Wilbur and Audrey Crites, and many other beloved family members. She is survived by her children; Sheree Hewitt, Mark Adams, Matthew Adams, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry her legacy of love and faith into the future.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that Janney and Garland are reunited once more, and that her life continues to shine brightly through the generations she nurtured with such care.
