John was married to the love of his life, Della Rose (Tavison), on November 27th, 1993. They were happily married for 24 years.
John was self-driven for success, love, and laughter. He cherished his family and the Dallas Cowboys above all, but also held friends and fur-babies close to his heart. John was a successful business owner who was so passionate about his work that many customers considered him family. Being a lover of the outdoors, John loved to take his family camping, fishing and hunting. John was the life of the party and often filled his house with family and friends. John cherished spending quality time with his family and often took them on fun-filled adventures. John was a walking teddy-bear who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Sue Bowen; his father, John Edward McKamey, Sr.; his maternal grandfather, Harold Bowen; and his paternal grandparents, Richard and Lorraine McKamey; and his Uncle Mike McKamey.
John is survived by his wife, Della; his daughter Marisa; his sons, Brendon and Dallas; his sister, Cari McKamey and her husband, Larry Scarborough; step-sister, Melody McKamey; brother-in-law and best friend Thomas Tavison; grandmother, Lois Ann Bowen (Nanny); his Uncle Daniel Bowen and Aunt Flora Bowen; his Aunt Cindy Buckner and her husband, Steve; best bud and long-time friend Shawn Henry; his fur-babies, Oscar and Milo; and many other beloved family and friends.
John Edward McKamey, Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 17th, 2018.
