Judith Ann Bauch

Judith Ann Bauch, affectionately known as Judy, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Illinois on April 19, 1945, she was the beloved third child of Vernon and Betty Petty. Judy had two older brothers, Larry and Jerry, and a sister, Gloria, who joined the family 10 years after Judy. Due to her father Vernon's role as a pastor, the family moved frequently across the Midwest, leading Judy to attend 14 different schools during her childhood. The family eventually settled in Arizona in 1973, where they all found work at Motorola.

Judy's career was marked by her dedication and service. She worked as a nursing assistant and psych tech at Phoenix Baptist Hospital and later contributed over 20 years to the City of Phoenix in the water department, retiring in 2003.

In her personal life, Judy married Gala "Billy" Bauch in 1980, sharing two decades of marriage before his passing in 2000. She is survived by her son Paul Brewer, daughter-in-law Stephanie Brewer, and two granddaughters, Amelia and Sophia Brewer. Her brother Larry Petty and sister Gloria "Janie" Warnock also survive her. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Jerry Petty.

Judy had a passion for various craft projects and loved dressing up in costumes, showcasing her vibrant personality. She was a faithful and devoted member of the West Phoenix Baptist Church, attending regularly until her health no longer allowed her to do so.

Known for her beloved and kind nature, Judy was cherished by all who knew her. She possessed a strong sense of right and wrong and was never afraid to express her feelings if she believed she had been wronged.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 am. A committal service will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, also located at 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale at 10:00 am.
