

Junea I. Baker passed away peacefully with her daughters and family by her side, on July 26, 2023. She was born on March 4, 1942, in Newburgh, New York to the late Mike Winters and Rosella (Lawton) Dayton.
Junea served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
She married James Baker on July 6, 1963. They had three children and shared over 46 years of marriage prior to his passing on July 12, 2009.
Junea was a hard worker and she worked for over 60 years. The last 8 ½ years for Tombstone Tactical in the accounting department. Junea loved camping and being outdoors taking two-week family vacations when the kids were younger. She enjoyed estate sales and antique stores looking for Fenton and Stangl.
Junea is survived by her three children William (Tracy) Baker, Camelia Baker, and Marie Teweleit, six grandchildren Kimberly Smith, James (Nancy) Baker, Amanda (Scott Weberg) Teweleit, Nicole (Stephan) Staege, William (Morgan) Baker and Corie (Francisco) Chairez, nine great-grandchildren Alyson, James, Olivia, Brandon, Amelia, Eliza, Louke, Myca & Maybel (the 10th great grandchild due in November) and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, a grandson Jeffrey Teweleit, two sisters, and three brothers preceded her in death.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating Junea’s life on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please donate in honor of Junea to Agape Hospice as they took incredible care of her days before her passing.
