Kent L. Carter, 74 of Glendale, AZ, passed away on May 8, 2012, after a short Illness. He was a Korean War-Era Army veteran, and enjoyed an exemplary career as a court reporter. After retiring from active reporting, he trained court reporters on transcription programs and taught entry-level court reporting. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 29. Most recently, he enjoyed volunteering at the Glendale Adult Center. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly fifty years, Glenda; his daughters Linda Calderon (Roberto) and Ann Pearson (Michael). A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10:00am at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Madison Street Veterans Associations or St. Mary's Food Bank.
