

Born April 8, 1940, Larry grew up in Long Beach, CA and lived briefly in Illinois and California before settling in Phoenix nearly 50 years ago.
He was an Eagle Scout as a boy, and served in the Air Force reserves as a young man. His entrepreneurial spirit coupled with his strong work ethic aided Larry in building L & D Enterprises, the family business he proudly led for more than 30 years.
Aside from business, Larry loved seeking out hidden treasures and finding diamonds in the rough. He built impressive collections of a variety of things – coins, figurines, stamps and more. He was a dog-lover- His most recent companion was Jasmine, a rescue pup he was instantly drawn to. He was a risk-taker, never passing up games of chance.
Larry was a respected businessman, beloved by his family and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Mugar and is survived by his son Jay Mugar, daughters Laura Stricklin and Kelly Vigil, stepdaughter Sharene Farr, sister Brenda Burney and his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. March 4, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59 Ave in Glendale.
