Leonard Leo Morin

80 of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully at Lynette's Care Home. Len was born in Bark River MI on Aug. 13, 1933 to the late Joseph and Irene (Gour) Morin. After graduating from Stephenson High School he attended the Maritime Service Training Station in N.Y. and was employed as a seaman on an ore carrier for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co Cleveland, OH. In 1953, Len joined the Army. Upon discharge, he earned a BS from Northern Michigan College and then was employed at Employers Mutual of Wausau Insurance.On April 20, 1963 he married Beverly Malnar at Sacred Heart Church in Ewen, MI. They lived in Oregon before relocating to Phoenix where he was first employed with Tony Rimsza Realty. In 1994 Len retired from the AZ Dept. of Transportation in the Right of Way Section. Len is survived by his wife Beverly; brother Joseph (Sena) of Neenah, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Christina, brother Ronnie and parents Joseph and Irene. Visitation will be Sunday December 15th from 5-8pm with prayer service at 7pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 16th at 1pm at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave with Fr. Ben Drapeau officiating. Interment Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave. Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society or Hospice of the Valley .
