Linda was born on December 5, 1946 in Rock Island, Illinois to Naomi Selle Miller. She was the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1964. She married not long after and welcomed three children, James A Ferguson in 1967, Chad A. Ferguson in 1969 and LeAnn M. Ferguson in 1971. The family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1979. In 1983, the family of five became a family of six when Nicholas J. Ferguson arrived. Not long after the family’s move, she found work at McKesson Pharmaceutical company where she worked diligently for over 30 years. She was passionate about her arts and crafts, and spent a lot of her free time crocheting all kinds of things with her sister Sylvia, with the sole purpose of giving it away to loved ones or strangers that could use a smile. She was known to love her cats and even welcomed the neighborhood strays for a nice dinner and a warm spot to lay. She was avid reader throughout her life and loved a good story.
She loved her family fiercely. She was an amazing mother with a warm, loving heart, and a great sense of humor. As a grandmother of four, she always made sure she had enough snacks on hand to feed an army, and would voluntarily play hours of Yahtzee on end. She never failed to make you smile with her silly sayings and kind words.
She was preceded in death by her mother Naomi; sisters Ardith, Sylvia and Bonnie, and her son Chad. She is survived by her brothers, Ron, Lewis, and Kenneth; children James, LeAnn and Nicholas; her grandchildren Logan, Taylor, Emily and Jacob; many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. She left us all with many great memories and we will carry her in our hearts forever.
