Linda "Lyn" Lou Kauffman

Linda Lou Kauffman, (nee Cornell), 78, a long-time resident of Arizona, passed away January 6, 2026 after a brief illness. Known as Lyn to her family and friends. She was born March 12, 1947, and raised in Tazwell County, IL. She married Joseph E Kauffman on April 30, 1966 at Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church, East Peoria, IL. They moved to Arizona around 1972.

Lyn enjoyed serving at New Life Community Church in Peoria for many years, most recently in the Food Box ministry, and especially assisting with packing food supplies for children. She also hosted a Bible study and was a regular attender with the Summit Group.

Lyn regularly spent time with friends and family and could often be found working a jigsaw puzzle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, multiple sisters and brother. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Kauffman of Tucson AZ, and sisters Shirley McCauley (David), Sue Frank (George) and Una Hemstreet, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 20th at New Life Community Church, followed by a reception onsite.

A Graveside service will be held at Resthaven Park Cemetery, located at 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85301, (southside older portion of cemetery). The service is scheduled for January 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
