He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 5, 1933. Lionel graduated from Maricopa Technical College after retiring from the Air Force. He was married to Yvonne Ross on March 3, 1953.
Lionel had an Honorable career in the U.S. Air Force. He was survived by his daughters, Carmella M. Ross & Joyce A. Johnson, his grandchildren, Henry Wright III, Edward Johnson II, Ashley Goree, Carmella Y. Smith, and many great grandchildren.
Lionel will be honored by family privately.
