Born on June 30, 1948, in Davenport, Iowa, Lonna was a truly beautiful soul inside and out. She was kind, compassionate, and full of warmth. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love touched the hearts of everyone who had the joy of knowing her. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. Whether through a comforting word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply her radiant smile, she brought light into every room she entered.
She dedicated over 30 years of her life to the Arizona Department of Transportation, working in various departments including construction, highway maintenance, Motor Vehicle Division and the completion of the Deck Park Tunnel (I-10). Her commitment, reliability, and strength made a lasting impression on her colleagues and the community she served.
Of all her accomplishments, Lonna was most proud of her family and all that they achieved. Her love, support, and encouragement helped shape the lives of those she held dearest, and her legacy lives on in the values she instilled.
She leaves behind a loving husband, a devoted daughter and son-in-law, two cherished grandchildren, three adored great-grandchildren, two beloved sisters, and one dear brother. Her legacy of love, grace, and quiet strength will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory and the love she gave so freely will live on forever.
