

Lynn Warren King passed away at his home in Phoenix Arizona, Friday June 10th in the early morning hours. Lynn was born October 18, 1943 in Phoenix Arizona to James David King and Thais Olive Nelson King and is survived by his two brothers Leslie David King his twin who resides in Cleveland, Ohio, and James Michael King who resides in Peoria Arizona.
Lynn attended Madison #1 elementary school and Central High School where he was a National Honor Scholar. Later he attended the University of Colorado, California State University and received his doctorate in psychology from International College, Los Angeles, California.
Lynn was an avid reader and would digest a lengthy novel in less than a day. Known for his prodigious vocabulary he was someone you didn’t want to challenge in scrabble. He was well known for his open and friendly personality and even more for his non judgmental attitude.
Lynn worked as a Highway Patrolman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety and then in business administration at his father’s engineering firm of JD King and Associates and subsequently at his brother Les’s firm CIS. Moving to California Lynn worked for Cal Strip Steel as its controller and later practiced psychology in Los Angeles. He finished his career as human resources manager for a decade in Phoenix Arizona at Ipro Technologies. During his career Lynn was a Naval Officer Reservist in the United States Navy.
There will be a graveside memorial at the Mesa city cemetery on October 18th 2016 at 10:00AM where his cremated remains will be laid to rest next to his mother and father.
Many thanks for those who cared for Lynn during his long illness. Special thanks to Janette McCauley his last caregiver and dearest friend. Hospice of the Valley provided additional excellent care the last weeks of Lynn’s sojourn here in mortality.
