Magdalena Sagayno Moreno, 89, of Glendale, Arizona promoted into Heaven on February 24, 2019. Magdalena was born in Walnut Grove, California on July 16, 1929 to Eulalio and Natalia (Nieto) Cruz, one of five children. Magdalena was raised in Delano, California where she attended Delano High School. Most importantly, this is where she met and married the Love of her Life Felix on August 17, 1946. Magdalena and Felix had seven children in Delano and then moved to Glendale, Arizona in June of 1970. She worked managing the paperwork and books for Felix’s masonary company. Magdalena had one true love and one true passion; her husband Felix and her family. Magdalena was a homemaker. She raised her kids and then went on to care for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved cooking and getting family together and she listened to romantic Mexican music.
Magdelena leaves behind her husband, of 73 years, Felix; her seven children- Olivia (Marcos) Ramirez; Teresa Moreno; Christina (Mike) Lucas; Rosemary (Emilio) Cabrera; Trinidad De La Paz; Felix (Cecilia) Moreno Jr; and Jaime (Terry) Moreno: 8 grandchildren- Melissa (Bobby) Williams; Alysia (Chris) Valdez; Emilio (Teresa) Cabrera; Alexandra (Chris) McDermott; Gabriel (Leslie) Cabrera; Marc Moreno; Andres Moreno and Gabriela Moreno: 5 great grandchildren- Ethan, Julian, Christian, Chase, and Jonah; and her brother Henry Sagayno.
Magdalena is preceded by her siblings- Dolores Alvarado, Ernest Alvarado, Viviano Alvarado, and Frank Sanchez.
A Memorial Service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in the West Chapel (entrance in the rear of the building) on Friday March 1, 2019 from 11-1pm.
