Marie Elizabeth Petersen (88) of Goodyear passed away on April 2, 2017. Many knew her as Betty. She was born on September 21, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert and Marie Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Robert Rodney Reynolds Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald A. Petersen, son Donald (Laurel) Petersen. Betty found enjoyment in ballroom dancing, cooking and baking. In fact, she never lost a competition at the fair with her baking dishes. She also loved her poodles, Charlie and Georgie Girl. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 7th at 1:00pm at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6450 W Northern Avenue in Glendale.
