Marie A. Ybarra

With heavy hearts, we announce that Marie A. Ybarra, 83 years old, of Phoenix Arizona went Home to our Lord surrounded by family in the comfort of her home on December 3, 2024. Marie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 3, 1941, to Nicholas and Manuelita Martinez. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Marie was known for her unwavering faith, generosity, infectious laughter, love of life and her dedication to uplifting those around her. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Ybarra, her daughter Christina, daughters-in-law, Lori and Sandi, grandchildren Michael, Mark (Michelle), Heather (Derek), Matthew (Alex), Kelly (Julia), great-grandchildren Morgan, Mason, Greyson, Mia, Claire and Sylvi and siblings Lillian (Robert), Joe (Lilah), Edmund, Margaret and Melita (Edward). Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her sons Matthew, Andrew and Mark and great-grandson, Luke.

Services will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla St., Glendale Az on January 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM, to be followed by a reception at the church. Interment at West RestHaven, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale AZ, at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her name.
