She had no Manger for one of her table-top Nativities (just one of many that she lovingly displayed) so I made this simple one.  It  pleased me to see the joy on her face when she saw it! 

We will remember you and the goodness you brought to our lives!😘

Every time I spent time with Marilyn, she made it clear where her heart was. She clearly loved her family, her home, and her Lord. 🕊️

As we were decorating her home for Christmas this year, we came upon this lawn-sized Nativity scene. She had used it for years, and this year she passed it on to me! Each year as I set it up, I will think of her. 🙏

Dear Marilyn, you will so surely be missed. You were/are one sweet and special lady. May your family remember you for the wonderful person you were. Will miss your phone calls. Rest in His arms.
May your memory be blessed.

So sorry for your loss. I so remember the few times Aunt Marilyn visited East . Such a warm heart😢

A boy and his mom, or in this case, moms. ❤️

(Mrs. Hoffarth) as I always referred to her, was such an amazing, loving, Christian woman. She always had a smile on her face and a laugh in her throat, about to escape whenever we would meet. I remember many times in grade school, coming over to the house to play with Nancy. Mrs. Hoffarth would be in kitchen making food. She was always on the go.  I vividly remember cakes that looked like masterpieces and secretly hoped there would be an opportunity to taste test one of the cakes.  I also remember many events at St. Louis and Mrs. Hoffarth was always involved with some aspect of the event. My heart is sad at her passing. A blessed woman walked among us and yet I know she is with our Lord and that gives me joy.  My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I pray the Lord will heal your hearts and you will have sweet memories of Marilyn in the days to come.

I was fortunate to know Marilyn and Ed. I very much appreciated their kindness. She had a beautiful soul.

Marilyn and her best friend are reunited in heaven.  I have wonderful memories of Marilyn from making all my birthday cakes, to our Easter and Thanksgivings at the park.   She even made our wedding cake and catered all the food.   All the love she poured into her family and extended family seemed to come very natural to her.  I will miss our phone calls and her wise advice.  All my love & prayers, Heather

I'll always be indebted to Marilyn for teaching me to decorate cakes..which enabled me to be a stay at home mom for my three chilldren as they were growing up. We stayed in touch over the many years and I share your sadness in her passing.
