Martha lived a life marked by selflessness and kindness. She was a devoted telephone operator for many years, offering a friendly voice to all who called. She served as a State Legislator where she represented her constituents with dignity, honor, and pride.
Beyond her professional career, she was deeply involved in her community, where she became known for her generosity and passion for helping others. As the co-founder of her local Neighborhood Association, she worked tirelessly to build a sense of connection and cooperation among her neighbors, ensuring that her community was a welcoming and supportive place for all.
However, it was her role as a mother and grandmother that truly defined Martha's life. She was the heart of her family, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her grandchildren were especially fortunate, as she made it a priority to spend time with them, ensuring they had a bite to eat whenever they came over and always felt cherished. On the weekends, she would take her grandkids for breakfast at McDonald's after they spent the night at her house, a small but meaningful tradition they will remember forever.
Martha also delighted in taking her grandchildren on little trips, sharing new experiences and creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Her boundless love and nurturing spirit made her a constant source of joy and comfort to those around her.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Guadalupe Medina, her daughter Rose Garcia and her five siblings. She is survived by her daughter Cassandra Garcia, her son Pete Garcia and her beloved grandchildren.
A memorial service for Martha will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
