Mary Sooter, 77, passed on 2/1/14. She was born to the late Samuel and Ellen Swaney on Jan. 6, 1937 in Coolsprings, PA. Mary graduated from High School in 1955 and then shortly moved to AZ. She married Richard Sooter in 1963 and they raised their family in Phoenix. Mary spent the majority of her career with Motorola and retired from there in the late 90’s.
Mary was a very active and a devoted mother/grandmother that always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She truly enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and testing them out with those that new her best. Above anything else she loved to spend time with her family, especially her Grandson.
Mary is survived by three children: Milton, Clifford and Shelley (Daniel), one Grandson: Marshall. She has five Brothers: Marty, Charles (Martha), John (Kathy), Terry (Julie) and Ronnie, in addition to Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and a countless number of friends that she dearly loved.
Services will be held on 2/6/14 at 12:00 p.m. at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.
