Mike Wizner, born June 15, 1951 in Midland, MI to Frank and Ellen (Pettis) Wizner, passed away peacefully with his family by his side February 20, 2017. Mike spent most of his work years in professional bakeries before becoming a business agent for BCTGM Local 232 for the last 8 years. He was one of the original Trekkies; he is now exploring the Final Frontier. Mike is survived by his mother Ellen (Wizner) Stripe; wife Barbara; children Helen (Cordell Brown) Wizner, James (Josie) Wizner, Rebecca (Michael Strautz) Wizner; 3 grandchildren; brother Robert (Chris) Wizner; sister Barbara (Andrew) Eagleton; 2 nieces; 1 nephew and uncle Warren Pettis. His father and stepfather Loren Stripe precede him in death.A visitation will be Monday February 27 from 5:00-8:00 pm with a funeral service Tuesday February 28 at 10:00 am both at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave in Glendale. Burial will take place on a later date in Auburn, MI.
