

Miguel Gutierrez passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Miguel was born in Sybil (Benson), AZ on April 16, 1934 to Jesus and Rafeala Gutierrez. He married Amelia Alvarez on April 24, 1960. Miguel served 2 years in the Armed Forces. He retired from a successful career with the City of Phoenix in 1996. Miguel was a humble man who loved his family and friends dearly. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He had many favorite activities such as spending time with his family and loved ones and taking day trips, but going to ASU College Football games was his most favorite activity. He had season tickets for over 30 years. He is survived by his sister Annie (Gutierrez) Flores, brother Manuel Gutierrez; two sons, Miguel Jr. and Andres (Michelle); three daughters, Consuelo, Adelina and Victoria; seven grandchildren, Donald (Kevin), Ruben, Genevieve (Jose), Marc (Alana), Rebecca (Matthew), Jonathan and Jadyn; and 5 great-grandchildren; along with many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, 5:30-7:00pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5614 W. Orangewood Ave., Glendale.
