

Norma Bess Green passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 in Sun City West, Arizona at the age of 89. She was born in Stecker Oklahoma on March 9, 1922 to Samuel and Viola Bowling. The Bowling family moved to Arizona the day before Christmas in 1932. Norma graduated from Litchfield Park High school and went on to receive her license in cosmetology. On November 8, 1942 she married her husband Norman Green. They had two children Lynda and Michael Green. Norma worked for several melon packing companies in Arizona and California as a counter alongside her husband Norm after World War II. Norma loved working on crossword puzzles, listening to music, watching the Arizona Diamond backs play baseball, and most of all she enjoyed her bridge card games. Norma is survived by her sisters, Verna Butler, Joy Crane and Trella Bailey and her daughter, Lynda Ford of Yuma, Arizona. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Kerri Ford, Kyle Ford, Jody Black, Brandy Kos and Rochelle Redford, as well as many more adoring great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Green, son, Mike Green, granddaughter, Elizabeth Ford and her parents, Samuel and Viola Bowling. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February the 6th at the Chapel of Chimes Mortuary on 7924 N. 59th avenue Glendale, Arizona. 85301.
