Pamela Laverne Jackson, 66, of Glendale, Arizona was born on January 9, 1955 and entered into heaven on March 30, 2021. Pamela was born in New York City, New York to Louvenia Mattie (Boyd) and Willie Lee Thacker.

Pamela grew up in The Bronx with her 4 siblings and her two parents, she was always a New York native no matter where she lived you could take the girl out of NY, but you can never take NY out of her, New York was always in her. She Lived most of her Adult life in the Bronx then she moved to Newberry South Carolina where Both her parents were born. She loved the country and the outdoors, then she Moved to Ohio for numerous years to then move to Arizona when she was ready to retire and enjoy the desert, but she loved her Children the most Pamela had four children Yolanda Barnett, Gregory Bowen, Timeka Shippy and Taij Jones (Her Sweet Prince). She loved them all in her own way and she always did what was right for them and their children. Pamela was a hard-working and spiritual person. She was a Diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan, if you seen her you seen Dallas something on her! She worked various jobs but her most accomplished job was when she started her own carpet cleaning business in Youngstown Ohio, and only employed her family to do the jobs. She was always thinking Family First! Her passion was her family, and Traveling she always wanted to go someplace and see something new Paris was where she dreamed of living and never coming back to the states if she made it there, and her greatest joy was her 10 grandchildren, she loved and nurtured them all like they were her own babies and she always put them first above anything else she had going on, she always thought of others before herself, but It was always family first. She lived her life on her own terms even in the end the way she wanted and never had any regrets Cancer was NOT going to Stop her.

Pamela will always be remembered for her Loud, Outspoken, Loving Characteristics and her ability to always say what she means and mean what she SAID!! Her motto in life was God Bless the Child that’s Got its Own. she was a huge Billie Holiday Fan so those words she always drilled them into her children and Grandchildren’s heads for their entire lives and she instilled that in them so they would know that no matter what God will bless you as long as you are making a way outta no way!

I keep losing mothers. When you left, I had the hiccups for three days. I couldn't figure out why. I was stressed because my family lost the matriarch and I wasn't there to grieve in person. I was feeling down but I didn't know how down until you were gone. I was feeling empathy as I had been here before with my birth mother. But then I felt you come in my room while I slept. And literally I could see your shadow and feel my mattress sink a little as you kneelt next to me. I could hear your strong voice telling me it was going to be OK and that you loved me and to be strong. And guess what, the pain stopped. The anxiety stopped. The hiccups stopped. And i woke up renewed with your wisdom that you gave me and your unconditional love. To that I will always "Get da money" and let you rest in peace. You lived five lifetimes in one. Rest easy Mama

I don't know what to say. This is so hard. I knew this woman since I was 10 years of age. She has always been by my side and in my life till this day and always will. I will miss her call twice a week and especially on September 27th her brother's birthday. She calls me to calm her nerves when people plucked them. We've been through alot sis and I will cherish them always. Our Luther NEVER TOO MUCH and many many more. This is killing my ❤. What I want to say is in your eye only which you know. LOVE 💘 YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER.

I haven't spoken to you in a couple of months but that was normal for us. The last time you called me you were so apologetic bc you missed my birthday, which you never did. You, just like Aunt Cheryl, stayed in touch with me even if to simply say I love you niecey! Im gonna miss those calls and your occasional crazy lol. This hurts...I love you Aunty. Sleep in peace

Pam was a joyous person and I always told you that she loves you. She always greeted you with a kiss and a hug. She enjoyed life and the world doesn’t owe her anything. May you find peace knowing that she’s with her sister and her mom. May God bless you in the days to come.

Dear Timeka and Family, my deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to each and every one of you.
I never had the JOY of getting to know Pamela, but learned to know and adore her through her precious Family.
The BIGGEST JOY and FUN that I 'shared' was her love of Hellmann's Mayo. For those who don't get it...SHE DID. And that makes me smile.
I will miss getting it for you when I could, but I know you have ALL YOU want now.
There are no words that I can say to help ease your sadness, but I know you have many HAPPY JOYFUL MEMORIES of her Love that she unconditionally gave to you.
With sympathy,
Nancy and Dean

Sending my condolences to the family. You all know how much she loved each of you. I remember the first day the two of us dropped Pooh off at school, he CRIED because he DID NOT want us to leave him and of course I was crying with him. As we walked out she looked at me and said “I know you’re not crying too!” Man did she laugh at me. Yes ma’am I was really crying just like I cried when I heard that you had gained your wings. Rest in love Honeybun.

I fondly remember my cousin Pamela Jackson when the family came to Youngstown, OH in 2017. She was walking toward me and my daughter Gwen to hug us. She just lit up like a light and had the biggest smile. She was so full of love and we were so happy to see her as she was happy to see us. I will always remember that incident when I think of her. Love you always cousin Pam.
