It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Marie Turik, age 71, of Peoria Arizona on June 15, 2024 . She was born on January 10, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio and moved to Arizona in 1985 after the passing of her first husband, Michael Turik. Her abundant spirit and love of life will be missed by all who knew her.
Patti had several jobs but her primary focus was raising her children with lots of help from friends and family. She was a seamstress for many years and even after she stopped working as one she continued to sew special mementos for all her friends and family. These personalized gifts are treasured by all who received them. She also worked as a beautician and in later years as a school bus assistant with special education children.
Patti enjoyed hiking, doing crossword puzzles, working out and playing tennis. Patti loved people and enjoyed being with friends and family - no matter what the occasion. She was active in her church and joyfully gave her time to many causes. But her favorite pastimes were sewing and baking cookies with her grandchildren. Patti was full of energy and her laughter was infectious, especially if her sisters Barb and Rita were in the same room.
She is survived by her husband Dan Cummings, daughter Valerie (John) Cooney, son Michael (Heather) Turik, daughter Tammy (Paul) Yenkevich and son Jim (Cristina) Cummings. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brianna, Kelsey, Emily, Sarah, Paula, Lexi, Brandon, T.J. and Nathan and great grandson, Stetson. She is also survived by her siblings Bob, Barb, Rita, Kathy and preceded in death by Marie.
