Rita B. Newman

Rita met and married her beloved husband of 59 years, Jackie D. Newman, whom survives her, along with their one son Daniel D. Newman and three daughters Sherrell L. Newman, Janet M. (William) Bridges and Deborah D. (Sam) Salazar; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and one sister Virginia Brown.

Rita is preceded in death by both her parents, three brothers, Irish, Nathan, and Guy and one sister Lyla.

Rita was employed with Revlon in Phoenix for 21 years before her retirement. Rita loved her family very much; she will be forever loved and missed by all.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Green Acres Glendale Mortuary, 5830 W. Missouri Ave., Glendale, AZ, and where the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 1, 2011.

Interment to follow at 1:00PM, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ.
