Robert Cubedo, lovingly known as Bob or Bobby, was born in Glendale, Arizona in 1942. The youngest of eight children, he grew up in a close-knit family where his Parents, Jesse and Luz, hosted frequent gatherings that strengthened bonds across generations.
After graduating from Glendale High School, Bob began his career at a local shoe store in downtown Glendale before joining Western Electric (later AT&T and Bell) where he worked until his retirement.
Bob met the love of his life, Nancy, at a dance - and from that moment, his heart belonged to her. He and his sweetheart shared over 63 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Together, they raised three children - Irene, Robert, and Liz, who is married to their son-in-law Matt Cartee - and were blessed with three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many beloved "granddogs."
Bob and Nancy cherished time spent with family - whether camping, visiting Las Vegas with relatives, dinner get-togethers, telling stories, playing games, or enjoying poker at the casino. A life-long sports fan, Bob loved cheering on his hometown teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, and ASU Sun Devils. Known for being a jokester, with a playful sense of humor, Bob brought joy to everyone around him.
In Bob's final days, he offered a lovingly familiar "bye-bye", with a little wave, wink, or smirk that captured his humor and kind heart. It was such a "Bob" way to say goodbye - simple, warm, and full of love.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who was lucky enough to share in his laughter, stories, and love.
