Rocky Donovan Franklin, of Camp Verde, AZ, joined his parents Earl & Edna, stepson Eric & cousin Bud in heaven on 12/28/21. Rocky was born in Willows, CA on 9/9/48, as little brother to Skip (Earl) Franklin.
Rocky is survived by the love of his life & wife, Ginny Franklin, daughters Roxanne Franklin & Jodi Keilman, stepdaughter Jennifer Moreno, grandchildren Nicholas, Courtney, Christian, Sawyer, Maverick, Caitlyn, Ericka, Payton, & Logan, and 12 great-grandchildren. Rocky is also survived by brother Skip & his children Shane, Tiffany, Jessica & Thomas.
Rocky also leaves behind his beloved kindred spirits/neighbors in Camp Verde including Bob & Ilah, Casey, Mark, Sandy, Cathy, Samie, Cheryl, and so many more not named here.
Also never forgotten, are the countless City of Phoenix fellow police officers with whom he proudly served for 23 years.
During his time with Phx PD, Rocky served as Undercover Investigator, Federal Task Force, Phoenix's 1st SWAT Team member, Narcotics K9 Handler and a member of the Drug Interdiction Unit. Following retirement, Rocky served 11 years as a Park Ranger for Slide Rock in Sedona.
A memorial service for Rocky will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home (6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona). The family would like to welcome everyone who knew & loved Rocky to a party in his honor at his daughter's house directly following the service, approximately 3:30 PM.
