Ruth Louise Reynolds

Ruth Louise Reynolds, 83, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, November 24, 2018. Ruth was born July 15, 1935 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Goldie Martin Fordyce and Wilbert Stewart Fordyce. After her father died in 1942, she was raised by her mother and Curtis Fordyce. Ruth graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Pennsylvania. She married Ray Reynolds of Larned, Kansas on January 1, 1956. Ray and Ruth moved their family from Washington, PA to Phoenix, Arizona in 1963. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed camping with her friends and family, playing cards, and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, step-father, younger brother Jim, and also her loving husband of 55 years, Ray Reynolds. She is survived by her son, Jim (daughter-in-law Karen) and daughter, Debbie (son-in-law Phil Shoemaker). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Tiffany (James Verbic), Jeremy, Michelle (Tanner Bowman), and Kellie (Ryan Conway), and five great-grandchildren: Hayley, Ryder, Jordan, Breccon, and Grayson. She also leaves her friend/sister-in-law, Vera Fordyce of Washington, PA as well as her brother-in-law Roy (sister-in-law Beverly) Reynolds of Marion, KS, her nieces/nephews Jim and Jeff Fordyce, Rick Brown, Roy Jr, Kathy Pratt, Kevin and Darin Reynolds.

A memorial service in honor of Ruth will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in remembrance to: Hospice of the West, 21410 N 19th Ave, Ste. 100, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
