

Sandra Diane Flowers, 73, began her eternal life peacefully on February 8, 2016
Sandra (Sandi) Spinoso was born in Montreal, Canada on July 22, 1942 to Anthony
Thomas Spinoso and Muriel Mary Bradbury. The Spinosos moved to the USA in 1949
and Sandi spent her teenage years growing up in southern California.
Sandi moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1964 and married Marion Wayne Downing on
February 6th, 1966 - children William & Julie. Sandi Married Douglas Thomas Flowers
on November 11, 1995 - stepdaughter Jennifer. Sandi was proud to be an American ,
becoming a naturalized citizen on June 20th, 1980. Sandi worked as a Senior Director
of Administration/Finance for the Arizona Foundation for Medical Care for 35 years
Sandi's greatest joy was being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed
the outdoors, summer on the beach in San Diego and a good glass of red wine.
Sandi died peacefully surrounded by family at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center
after a short but brave struggle with leukemia. Her infectious smile, generosity and gentle
presence will truly be missed. We are all better people for knowing Sandi.
Sandi is survived by sister Judy of Burbank, California and sister Ann of Maple Lake,
Minnesota, husband Douglas, son William, daughter Julie, granddaughters Brittney, Erica
and Candice, grandsons Jonathan and Chad and step-daughter Jennifer of Phoenix, AZ,
along with her numerous nieces and nephews. Family and Friends are encouraged to

An interment service and celebration of Sandi's life will be held sometime in March

Phoenix, Arizona FBO the Oncology Support Fund.
