Steven Clement Johnsen

Steven is survived by his parents, Frankie and Larry Johnsen; his children Brandon and Breanna Johnsen; brother, Jeff Johnsen; sister Kristina Johnsen; fiancé, Shawna Tibbett: and her daughter Shelby Tibbett. He was a devoted father, a supportive brother, dedicated son and loving fiancé.

Steven Johnsen was born in Phoenix, Arizona on February 13, 1966. He graduated from Cortez High School and Glendale Community College with his Associate Degree. Steven was born into the family business, Valley Machine Works, where he worked as a Machinist for 30 years and foreman for over 20 years.

During Steven’s youth he was active in the Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout in 1982. He continued with scouts earning the Order of the Arrow-Vigil Honor. His love for hiking led him to hike the Grand Canyon 5 times, as well as the Superstition Mountains and many other places in Arizona.

Throughout his struggles with Diabetes his ability to overcome and maintain was a constant inspiration to behold. Never once did his smile falter. Steve took it upon himself to inspire others to “Pay It Forward”, by doing a kind deed for others. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 12:00pm with a Funeral service at 1:00pm located at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
