Sue Carolyn Farrar, 83 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on November 10, 2023. She was born April of 1940 to the late Ewell Harwell and Paula Singleton-Harwell in Pope County, Arkansas. After Ewell’s WWII service she moved to Queen Creek, Arizona in 1951.
Sue graduated from ASU in 1962 with her teaching degree and taught in elementary schools in both Mesa and Glendale. She taught for a total of 36 years. Teaching was her passion, and she was particularly fond of educating in home economics and sewing class.
Sue is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Dale and her son Alan, along with many other family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend services for Sue with a visitation being held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home; 6450 W. Northern Avenue in Glendale. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1:00PM also at West Resthaven Funeral Home. Sue will be laid to rest following services at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.
